God's Salvation

God's Way of Salvation
The Biblical and Historical Gospel Defended and Maintained

Calvinists and Arminians have been debating the true nature of God's plan of salvation for over four centuries, ever since the Synod of Dort. The Arminian protesters (Remonstrants) presented their five point protest to the Synod. The synod, after debating the issues at length came down overwhelmingly on the Calvinist side of the question. Their answers to the protest have come down to us as the five points of Calvinism. Ever since then the debate has been dominated by critiques of and defenses of these five points.

This is unfortunate because the Reformers never even heard of these five points. The terms of the debate have been set by the format of the Arminian protest for centuries rather than a natural Biblical defense of Calvinist soteriology as the Reformers engaged in. This book is therefore a new approach. Rather than just another review of the five points it is simple, straight-forward Biblical defense of what Calvinists believe about God's plan of salvation. It is a polemical work, that is powerfully argued and contains extensive Scripture proofs to establish its positions. It is offered as a fresh weapon in the ongoing debate to oppose humanist Arminian errors and give God the glory for his great work of salvation.
